How to make blurred text clearer

The tool increases local edge contrast around letters so lightly softened text can look more defined. Start with a moderate setting: excessive sharpening can create bright halos and make small characters harder to read.

Sharpening does not invent missing detail. If the source is severely blurred, compare the result carefully and do not rely on guessed words for legal, financial, medical or identity information.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Can it recover completely unreadable text?+

No. Sharpening can improve visible edges, but it cannot reconstruct characters that are absent because of severe blur, motion or very low resolution.

Does the image upload to a server?+

The clarity enhancement runs in your browser. Account and Credit checks do not upload the image.

What images work best?+

Use the highest-resolution original available. Light focus blur and compression softness respond better than heavy motion blur.
