Receipt OCR needs human review
Receipts combine small type, abbreviations and tightly aligned numbers. OCR can accelerate transcription, but it should not be treated as verified financial data.
For the cleanest result, remove folds, avoid a patterned surface and photograph one receipt at a time. Keep the original image with your records when documentation rules require it.
