Why subtitle removal can be difficult

Subtitles frequently cross several objects, which leaves the repair model with limited context. Hair, hands and fine texture behind words can require additional correction.

Mask the subtitle closely and retain the original. For localization, add the translated text only after you are satisfied with the cleaned background.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Does this process a complete video?+

No. This tool edits one still image at a time; it does not remove subtitles from video files.

May I edit any movie frame?+

Only edit content when you hold the rights or have permission. Copyright and license terms still apply.

Are my files uploaded?+

OCR runs in your browser. Your file is only sent to a configured cloud provider if you explicitly choose a labeled AI repair action.
